About The Position

Chinchor Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Quality Control Specialist to join their team. The company is family-owned and operated, has been in business for over 30 years, and was recognized as one of the Orlando Sentinel’s 2024 Top Workplaces. They are a Commercial and Industrial Electrical contractor specializing in Heavy Industrial Electrical, Highway Lighting, and Traffic Signalization projects, working with both corporate clients and government entities. They have yearly contracts with several counties and the Florida Department of Transportation and are expanding with a new location in St. Augustine, Florida. Requirements

  • Current experience in traffic signal operations, maintenance, or installation
  • Strong knowledge of traffic signal standards, specifications, and safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and technical documents
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Level 2 IMSA
  • 5+ years in the field

Nice To Haves

  • Previous inspection or quality control experience
  • Certifications related to traffic signal systems or electrical inspection
  • Familiarity with ITS and advanced signal systems
  • Level 3 IMSA
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Inspect traffic signal installations, modifications, and maintenance work for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards
  • Perform quality control evaluations on signal equipment, wiring, and system functionality
  • Identify deficiencies, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Coordinate with technicians, contractors, and project managers to maintain quality standards
  • Review project plans and provide feedback to ensure constructability and compliance
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports and QC documentation
  • Support testing and commissioning of traffic signal systems
