About The Position

We’re looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join our Comics team to play a key role in ensuring that all collectible submissions meet CCG's unparalleled commitment to accuracy, consistency, and integrity in our Sarasota Offices. Requirements

  • Minimum one year of Quality experience working in a production environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Able to work overtime hours when needed based on business needs and demands
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Detail focused
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong customer service and organization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with quality control techniques like Six Sigma may be an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality assessment measures of all the products ready to be shipped
  • Maintain an acceptable level of quality workmanship and productivity
  • Responsible for checking outgoing submissions to ensure that they are free of defects and produced according to company specifications and guidelines
  • Responsible for identifying product defects or potential issues and determining what to do to resolve the issue
  • Identify defects and report when instances of poor quality occur
  • Identify and document errors and measure the error rate for various stages
  • Examines finalized collectibles to make sure they meet company standards after production and before they are sent back to the client
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database
  • Provide detailed reports to supervisors and managers to help them make decisions about production processes and practices
  • Identify and eliminate recurring problems and provide a paper trail to aid in accountability and error reporting
  • Perform inspection which includes the inspection for such defects as missing components, incorrect component value, improperly placed or misaligned components, faulty products, and deficiencies
  • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
  • Proposing improvements to the production process
  • Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
  • Correspond with customers as needed
  • Ensure conformance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Resolve quality-related issues adhering to deadlines
  • Work cooperatively with fellow employees
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
