About The Position

Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee the construction of Pump Station project in Dallas, TX. Candidates must be within commuting distance of Dallas Texas to be considered for this position. No per diem is available on this project.

Requirements

Graduate engineer, graduate architect, or a graduate of construction management, with a minimum of five years construction quality control experience on construction similar in scope and complexity, or a person with a minimum of ten years construction experience, of which a minimum of five years’ experience must be in construction quality control on construction similar to this contract.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management is required.
10 years of relevant work experience on federal projects (USACE/ Airforce/ NAVFAC/GSA)
Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings/plans/specifications; to include site/civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written/verbal) skills.
Experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
Computer proficiency in Microsoft (word, Excel, etc.)
USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) certification required.

Responsibilities

The CQC System Manager is responsible for the project’s quality control and has authority over all CQC matters.
Develop, submit, and maintain the CQC Plan in accordance with USACE specs (often EM 385-1-1 and project-specific sections.
Review and approve submittals before sending to designer of record (DOR) and Government for approval.
The CQC System Manager is responsible for ensuring that the construction work complies with all contract requirements and quality standards.
The CQC System Manager must ensure that all phases of control (preparatory, initial, and follow-up) are carried out to meet quality requirements.
Track submittals and RFI’s using RMS/ProCore.
Prepare and submit Daily QC Reports in RMS.
Coordinate and oversee all required third party testing (soil compaction, concrete, welding, etc.)
Identify non-conforming work, issue and track deficiencies accordingly and verify corrective actions meet contractual requirements.
Act as the main point of contact with USACE Quality assurance (QA) personnel.
