Quality Control Manager
About The Position
The Quality Control Manager plans, coordinates, and develops project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control plans, including the policies and procedures needed to ensure project compliance with contract terms. This is an onsite position. The role works closely with the project team, owner, design team, contractors, executive management, and third-party testing providers to support quality and timely project construction and completion. The manager oversees quality control meetings, documentation, testing, inspections, deficiencies, punch lists, and project closeout deliverables, and contributes to staff training and development.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a construction or related discipline, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5–8+ years of verifiable construction quality control and/or inspection experience.
- Takes initiative and personal responsibility to deliver value and excellence.
- Uses expertise to create a vision and align the team to achieve desired outcomes.
- Track record of establishing or contributing to creative strategic solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with, persuade, and gain buy-in from a broad range of stakeholders, including leadership, business unit leaders, direct reports, clients, trade partners, and third-party providers.

- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.

- Prior experience developing and managing Quality Control Plans.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the project team to understand, plan, and implement contract drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the owner, design team, and contractors to ensure the quality and timely completion of project construction.
- Implement and manage the Three Phases of Control Quality Control Plan.
- Schedule and conduct preparatory, initial-phase, and follow-up quality control meetings.
- Control documents related to quality control functions.
- Establish testing procedures in accordance with contract specifications.
- Manage the inspection process.
- Coordinate third-party testing agents and interface with the Owner's representatives as required.
- Track and maintain a project deficiency log.
- Manage the punch list process.
- Oversee project closeout deliverables, including training and O&Ms.
- Confer directly with the executive management team.
- Encourage, lead, and/or participate in staff training and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
