About The Position

The Quality Control Manager oversees quality assurance and inspection processes at a fabrication shop in New Albany, Indiana. The role ensures finished products meet customer specifications and company standards, and works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues. This contract-to-hire position requires 40 or more hours per week.

Requirements

Previous quality control or quality assurance experience in a fabrication shop environment.
Manufacturing experience.
Strong understanding of inspection and quality control processes.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Dependability and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Three or more years of experience as a Quality Control Manager.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily quality control, inspection, and quality assurance processes.
Review finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and company standards.
Inspect materials, components, and finished products for quality and accuracy.
Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate quality control records and documentation.
Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns.
Help identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
Ensure quality procedures and standards are consistently followed.
Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
