About The Position

A to Z Machine Company is hiring a Fabrication Shop Utility team member to support day-to-day operations in its fabrication department. The role involves material handling, equipment operation, shipping and receiving support, and maintaining an organized and efficient shop. The position offers hands-on work and opportunities to cross-train in a fabrication environment, including Waterjet and/or Welding.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred; one or more years is ideal.
• Comfort using a tape measure and hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience.
• Blueprint reading experience.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations throughout the fabrication shop.
• Perform sandblasting and material handling duties.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
• Operate saws to cut material to the correct length.
• Assist with Waterjet operations and equipment maintenance.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently.
• Operate heat treatment equipment.
• Cross-train in Waterjet and/or Welding.
• Follow all 6S, quality, and safety procedures.
