About The Position

The Quality Control Lab Technician conducts qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials, beverages, syrups, water, and finished goods throughout the production process. The technician ensures products meet established parameters, makes adjustments where necessary, checks package quality and production equipment, and isolates products that do not meet standards. The role is scheduled for weekend nights, Friday through Monday, and requires maintaining high housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination while supporting food safety and food quality.

Requirements

• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read, write, and keep records.
• Good computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Ability to remain on their feet from the beginning to the end of the shift.
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a pre-employment math test.
• Must be able to pass a math and measuring test.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform laboratory tests on beverages to ensure products are produced within established parameters and make adjustments where necessary.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverages, syrups, and raw materials throughout the production process.
• Analyze syrup, beverage, and/or water attributes.
• Audit container rinsers, air blowers, filters, and coders to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct package quality inspections and quality audits, and isolate products that do not meet standards.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination.
• Monitor package appearance, integrity, and correct package codes.
• Work with other lab technicians, line foremen, line operators, fork truck drivers, and other production personnel.
• Take responsibility for food safety and food quality.
