About The Position

Innophos is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, Tennessee chemical plant. The Lab Tech position is responsible for performing all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing for products produced at the Nashville plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry
• Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods
• Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculations
• Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software
• Must be able to safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals
• Must be able to safely work alone when necessary
• Must be able to complete assignments in a timely fashion
• Must be able to maintain a clean work area
• Must be able to visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials
• Must be able to interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment
• Must use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results
• Must have a good attendance record
• Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions

Nice To Haves

• Prior QC experience beneficial

Responsibilities

• Performing daily calibration checks
• Running references
• Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs
• Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments
