Quality Control Lab Technician
About The Position
RETAL PA LLC is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician to verify that products comply with established quality standards. The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining testing equipment, monitoring production processes, and using mechanical and electrical measuring tools to assess quality. The technician will analyze trends and recommend corrective actions as needed. This position is based in a 24/7 production facility and follows rotating 12-hour steady-night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule. In week one, the technician works Monday and Tuesday, is off Wednesday and Thursday, and works Friday through Sunday. In week two, the technician is off Monday and Tuesday, works Wednesday and Thursday, and is off Friday through Sunday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory testing methods and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO, GMP, or HACCP.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong analytical and basic math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a QC/QA laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and verify product compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Monitor production and analyze trends to identify and recommend corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical measurement tools.
- Follow established protocols and experimental procedures.
- Evaluate customer specifications and determine sampling criteria.
- Conduct and interpret quality assurance testing.
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, tests, and results.
- Sample and test materials at various stages of the production process.
