About The Position

This role is responsible for running and approving raw materials and production samples to ensure the quality of finished products and timely delivery to customers. The technician will also complete supervisor-assigned responsibilities to meet departmental objectives, participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement, and handle hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations. The position requires the ability to perform standard QC functions with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good math skills

Nice To Haves

• A general understanding of basic chemical concepts is desirable
• Computer experience including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes databases, and corporate ERP systems is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Running and approving raw materials to insure the quality of our finished products.
• Running and approving production samples to insure that the customer receives a quality product in a timely manner.
• Completing supervisor assigned responsibilities to insure that departmental objectives are being met on time.
• Participation with cross functional teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities as required.
• Verify proper labeling, handling and inspection of hazardous waste material.
• Must be able to complete normal QC functions with a minimal amount of supervision.
• Characterize, handle, label, manifest, or inspect hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
