About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products. The technician will run and approve samples, complete assigned responsibilities to meet departmental objectives, and participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement. A key responsibility includes verifying proper handling, labeling, and inspection of hazardous waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations. The position requires the ability to perform standard QC functions with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good math skills.
• Must be able to complete normal QC functions with a minimal amount of supervision.

Nice To Haves

• A general understanding of basic chemical concepts is desirable.
• Computer experience including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes databases, and corporate ERP systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Running and approving raw materials to ensure the quality of finished products.
• Running and approving production samples to ensure customers receive quality products in a timely manner.
• Completing supervisor assigned responsibilities to ensure departmental objectives are met on time.
• Participating with cross-functional teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Verifying proper labeling, handling, and inspection of hazardous waste material.
• Characterizing, handling, labeling, manifesting, or inspecting hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
