About The Position

A GELITA USA Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for sample collection and preparation, performing appropriate tests according to established procedures in an efficient, timely, accurate, and safe manner. They will report test results accurately and legibly, and interpret data as experience allows to assist in the evaluation of data, including reporting anomalies to QC Management. The role also involves maintaining equipment in good working order, including calibration, assisting in maintaining inventories of laboratory equipment and supplies, training other technicians when required, and performing basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory. The technician will interact professionally with co-workers, assist in all areas of the laboratory as required, and support GELITA USA’s GMP policies and Quality and Food Safety Policy through accurate and timely testing. Other duties may be assigned by QC Management.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED and one two years college level coursework in Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology and/or science related field preferred.
Proficiency and the ability to quickly learn programs computer programs and in-house software
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have a strong work-ethic, be well organized, and have good mathematical skills.
Must be able to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis.
A flexible schedule allowing for changes in daily work routines, weekend work and occasional overtime required.
Person must maintain acceptable attendance requirements with minimal absences and tardiness.
A Quality Control Lab Technician is expected to learn and grow in their expertise relative to the individual tests and overall goals of the laboratory

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Quality Control laboratory preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities
