About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Control Intern to join our team for a hands-on internship experience. This program is designed to provide students with practical exposure to both field construction operations and materials testing/quality control, helping them build a strong foundation for a future career in the construction industry. Interns will gain invaluable real-world experience, work on challenging projects, and collaborate with seasoned professionals across project management, engineering, and lab operations.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program or technical school (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or related field)
  • Strong academic performance and a passion for the construction industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of construction principles, lab testing processes, or quality control practices is a plus but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams to assist in the planning, execution, and management of construction projects
  • Spend time on construction sites to observe and participate in construction activities, gaining practical knowledge
  • Assist in project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure project goals are met
  • Participate in troubleshooting and finding solutions to construction-related challenges
  • Assist with a variety of lab tests on construction materials, including concrete and soil
  • Help analyze and interpret test results to support accurate, compliant testing
  • Support maintenance of lab equipment and supplies in accordance with best practices and standards
  • Help identify and report quality control issues or concerns
  • Communicate lab and field-related information to project stakeholders as needed
  • Acquire a deeper understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
