The Dixon Group is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products and components adhere to our rigorous quality standards. Utilizing precision measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings, you will verify product compliance throughout the manufacturing process. From conducting first-piece inspections to participating in continuous improvement activities, you will be instrumental in identifying issues, performing in-depth audits, and helping our team maintain top-tier product reliability. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a quality control inspector within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to effectively use precision measuring tools and equipment, including calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Ability to easily read and interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and good shop math skills are a must.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality standards and methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical certifications in quality control are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular and first-piece inspections on parts, components, and materials during the production process to ensure they meet exact quality specifications.
  • Perform in-depth audits to verify that production processes comply with internal policies, procedures, practices, and external quality standards.
  • Identify product defects, participate in root cause analyses, and recommend corrective and preventive measures to production staff.
  • Keep accurate, detailed records of your inspection findings and effectively communicate these results to management.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve product reliability.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality best practices.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and quality goals.
