The Quality Control Inspector is a critical player in Globus’ quality operations, ensuring the correct parts and products make it into our manufacturing & service processes, as well as into our customers’ hands. This individual works to inspect critical quality attributes as well as for conformance to internal & external standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of Quality Inspection experience in manufacturing or medical device industry preferred
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds MAX as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation
  • Familiarity with nonconformance and corrective action processes
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on medical device components and assemblies
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection procedures
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and comparators
  • Verify product conformance to internal specifications and customer requirements
  • Complete inspection records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and nonconforming material processes
  • Coordinate inspection activities and prioritize work to support production schedules and customer demand
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas following 5S standards
  • Assist with source inspection activities at supplier locations when needed
  • Move materials and products throughout inspection and production areas
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
