Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is a critical player in Globus’ quality operations, ensuring the correct parts and products make it into our manufacturing & service processes, as well as into our customers’ hands. This individual works to inspect critical quality attributes as well as for conformance to internal & external standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Inspection experience in manufacturing or medical device industry preferred
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems preferred
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds MAX as needed
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation
- Familiarity with nonconformance and corrective action processes
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on medical device components and assemblies
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection procedures
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and comparators
- Verify product conformance to internal specifications and customer requirements
- Complete inspection records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and nonconforming material processes
- Coordinate inspection activities and prioritize work to support production schedules and customer demand
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain clean and organized inspection areas following 5S standards
- Assist with source inspection activities at supplier locations when needed
- Move materials and products throughout inspection and production areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
