About The Position

Ziehm Imaging - Orthoscan Inc. is currently seeking a motivated, career-oriented professional with a positive can-do attitude to join our team as a full-time Quality Control Inspector located in Scottsdale Arizona. The Quality Control Inspector verifies product quality by examining incoming material, performing inspections of finished devices, and conducting functional testing of electronic circuit boards and electronic components. Responsibilities include following controlled documentation and accurately recording and maintaining quality records for inspection and test results, calibrated equipment, and nonconforming material.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Graduate of GED
  • Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent in electronic technology preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience executing test protocols in a production/engineering environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding of inspection techniques and specifications and knowledge of devices comprised of electronic assemblies, cabling, mechanical components, software and regulated labeling
  • Ability to properly use basic inspection tools such as calipers, dial indicators, multimeters and pin gages.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with Word, Excel, and Access
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be capable of performing task(s) with little to no supervision while completing task(s) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to perform physical activities that include the ability to lift and handle 40 lbs or more and to stand for long periods of time while performing job duties.
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Ability to communicate with and work collaboratively with international team members.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member.
  • Maintain excellent professional relationships with team members.
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with a willingness to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Responsibilities

  • Following established and approved controlled documentation.
  • Reliably, consistently, and accurately recording results of inspections and tests.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of quality records.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations in the performance of job duties.
  • Preparing and completing quality records associated with inspection and testing activities including test results, equipment calibration, nonconformance and returns to vendor.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records and departmental logs associated with inspection and testing activities, including nonconforming material, calibration records, inspection metrics, and supplier return (RMA) activities.
  • Perform functional testing of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s), electronic assemblies, and other electrical components using approved procedures
  • Supporting production with timely completion of tasks and reports associated quality control activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, and Management in developing improvements to inspection processes.
