About The Position

Champion Home Builder, Inc is seeking to hire a Quality Control Inspector for their Ephrata plant. This role involves inspecting parts, products, and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards. The inspector will use fixed or variable measuring instruments to check for irregularities and defects, compare products with parts lists for completion of assembly, and verify specified dimensions. The position also requires coordination with engineering, sales, and manufacturing personnel to resolve product-related issues and ensuring compliance with quality control policies, procedures, directives, and systems, as well as safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • High School degree or G.E.D. and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, products and/or processes to insure conformance with standards.
  • Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments.
  • Checks for irregularities and defects.
  • Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Verifies specified dimensions on product or material.
  • Coordinates with engineering, sales and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems are in compliance with company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.
  • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
