Requirements

Qualified welding QC CWB level 2 and/or to W178.2 with an accreditation to CSA Z662.
NACE Level 2 CIP.
Flexible to work in the office and travel to the field as required.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and support to construction personnel to verify construction activities comply with project requirements.
Report all non-conforming conditions in accordance with the QMS NCR process.
Receive and inspect materials, review material test reports (MTR's) ensuring compliance with the latest codes, standards, client specifications, and assure the material management process is followed.
Review IFC Project Drawings confirming latest revisions, P&ID’s, line lists, specifications etc.
Daily monitoring and reporting of site-specific QC related tasks.
Weld mapping to ensure proper traceability.
Ensure all Quality Control documentation is compiled and completed in a timely fashion.
Conduct daily quality inspections of contracted third parties.
Ensure all welding parameters are verified and filed daily. Welding activities may include welder qualification, production, and repair welding.
Ensure daily NDE reports are reviewed and filed in the QC Project Turnover Package.
Ensure all Coating reports are reviewed and filed in the QC Project Turnover Package.
Ensure Pressure testing documentation is completed and filed in the QC Project turnover package.
Verify all testing equipment is calibrated, the certificate of calibration is reviewed for accuracy and filed in the QC Project Turnover Package.
Report all incidents to the Quality Manager & HSE Manager ASAP; Ensure safety report is filled out ASAP.
Participate in incident reviews as directed by the Quality Manager.
Participate in lessons learned sessions to prevent recurrence.
Prepare performance agreement in conjunction with Quality Manager.
Provide input and feedback on employee performance assessments.
Lead by example and models core values in all actions; ensure a positive, respectful team environment, fostering collaboration and development.
Provide expertise on inspection techniques and methods as needed.
Participate in the development of QA and quality improvement initiatives.
Target charge out rate to clients at100% of total time
