Position Description: Quality Inspector will primarily perform 1st piece inspections, evaluate part to print specifications, and understand the inspection methods used for inspection while supporting the manufacturing process and personnel adhering to the Quality Policy, Customer, and Regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong blueprint and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) comprehension
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools, such as micrometer, indicators, comparator, etc.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important.
  • Must have strong knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements, particularly Pratt and Whitney
  • Proficient at reading blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T symbols.
  • Ability to identify visual defects.
  • Proficient in reading and utilizing multiple types of measurement equipment including CMM’s, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and more.
  • Ability to work together as team.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Adhere to document control.
  • Experience with various inspection reports.
  • Prior experience completing first piece inspection of product.

  • Machining Background a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform 1st piece inspections.
  • Evaluate part to print specifications.
  • Understand the inspection methods used for inspection.
  • Support the manufacturing process and personnel adhering to the Quality Policy, Customer, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Complete all paperwork, as required, including inspection reports.
  • Make mold casts to check ID dimensions.
  • Identify dimensional and visual defects.
  • Perform other duties as required.
