About The Position
Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. is a global leader in subsea corrosion control for all asset types, including oil and gas platforms, coastal terminals and offshore wind turbines. The company operates from facilities in the USA, the UK, Brazil, Norway and Australia. It has designed, built and installed more offshore cathodic protection systems than any other company and provides highly respected corrosion investigation and subsea inspection services. The Quality Control (QC) Inspector / Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities by inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals beginning a career in quality control within a manufacturing, production, or technical environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or quality environment (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
- Basic math skills and ability to read measurements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [30–50 lbs] as required
Nice To Haves
- Technical diploma or coursework in quality, manufacturing, or engineering preferred
- Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials and finished products
- Verify parts and products against drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Use basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Identify and document non-conforming materials or products
- Assist with basic functional or performance testing as required
- Accurately record inspection results in quality systems or logs
- Complete inspection reports and maintain organized quality records
- Report quality issues to supervisors or quality management
- Assist in tracking corrective actions and follow-up activities
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
- Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in maintaining calibration records for inspection tools (as applicable)
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
