CanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, is delivering the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The joint venture is underway to complete the retube, feeder, and boiler replacement (RFBR) of Units 5–8. Building on the successful delivery of the Darlington Refurbishment Project, the CanAtom team brings proven experience in safely executing complex nuclear projects on time and on budget to support Ontario’s clean energy future. The Electrical Quality Control Inspector will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the electrical construction and equipment within their specific project.
Requirements
- Graduate secondary school education in QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level or a minimum of 1 year work experience in an Electrical QC role.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literate in MS Office software.
- Good working knowledge of latest Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with structural codes such as CSA W59 and CWB welding inspection would be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection on high and low voltage electrical materials, components, and equipment in accordance with the applicable code of construction and/or customer specifications. Such inspections shall include but not be limited to: Dimensional inspections Review of Material Test Reports Receiving inspection Visual inspections Electrical test witnessing
- Generate and maintain Electrical Inspection and Test Plans.
- Perform Source Inspections, In-Process Inspections and Final Inspections
- Complete all associated documentation; Quality Control reports, sign-off on drawings, create as-built drawings, etc.
- Verification of calibration of measuring and test equipment.
