About The Position

CesiumAstro is seeking a dedicated and talented Quality Control Inspector for their 2nd shift team. This role involves working closely with a cross-functional team of managers, engineers, and other personnel to perform inspections on electronic assemblies and finished high-reliability products. The inspector will ensure compliance with CesiumAstro's Quality Management System, international standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 – 4 years relevant work experience or training required, preferably in a regulated environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical device).
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with microscopic visual inspection.
  • Experience with ERP and PLM software systems.
  • Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
  • Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and/or IPC/WHA-A-620 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality control processes per purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and finished products utilizing necessary tools and equipment in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and drawings.
  • Perform measurements using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and CMM/VMM.
  • Document inspection activities using electronic systems, written logs, and labels.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes.
  • Assist with the resolution of internal/external non-conformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies.
  • Assist in data analysis and department metrics reporting as required.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
  • Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
  • Perform other QC duties as assigned.
