About The Position

This is a Quality Control Engineering position focused on coordinating, executing, and monitoring overall quality throughout the new vehicle development milestones. The role requires understanding internal and external quality expectations and coordinating quality improvement activities to ensure high quality on assembled vehicles. The position is with Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), which is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant, utilizing cutting-edge production technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of related job experience
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Concern for Quality: Demonstrate effort to minimize job performance errors; maintain optimal quality through quick revision and immediate corrections
  • Prompt Judgement and Action: Use prompt judgements and actions based on professionalism and experiences to find problem-solving solutions in unexpected situations
  • Complex Problem Solving: Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Monitoring & Feedback: Efficiently execute tasks and maintain quality by continuously monitoring job performance; provide immediate feedback with alternative options as necessary
  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering major preferred
  • Years of automotive industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office knowledge and experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the effectiveness of processes and quality management systems.
  • Conduct monitoring of non-conformity either part itself or after assembled on a vehicle.
  • Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and computerized systems in accordance to reference standards and applicable legal requirements.
  • Plan, control and monitor the corrective actions of quality non-conformity detected in audits. Prepare reports and publish timelines in order to provide feedback and improve the management system through technical support.
  • Make certification planning and keep track of them in order to meet the market's demands.
  • Generate reports on countermeasure and improvement.
  • Inspect non-conforming parts and sets appropriate countermeasures.
  • Responsible for overall quality of car assembly.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.
