About The Position

Surveying, testing, and inspecting electrical installations to ensure conformance with standards. This role involves checking for irregularities and defects, adhering to HUD and Texas State requirements and guidelines, and completing testing reports and documentation. The Quality Control Electrical Tester will utilize check sheets to inspect for electrical defects, follow up on repairs continuously, and verify that quality repairs have been made without causing additional damage. This position also coordinates with electrical personnel to resolve problems related to electrical defects and ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Requirements

• High School degree or G.E.D.
• One year related experience and/or training is preferred.
• Ability to talk or hear.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stand.
• Ability to climb or balance.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• One year related experience and/or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surveying, testing, and inspecting electrical installations to ensure conformance with standards.

• Adhere to HUD and Texas State requirements and guidelines.
• Complete testing reports and documentation.
• Utilize check sheet and inspect for electrical defects.
• Follow-up on repairs continuously.
• Personally inspect each item written up on the check sheet to verify that a quality repair has been made and that no other damage happens during the repair process.
• Coordinates with electrical personnel to effectively resolve problems related to electrical defects.
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.
