About The Position

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Quality Control Auditor/Trainer for the Akron, Ohio area. This role is primarily responsible for enhancing the quality of work performed in Ohio and will be based out of the Akron office. The position involves daily interaction with Managers, Supervisors, and Field Technicians, and will utilize the Star training program to train new Field Technicians. Job duties will be performed with the assistance and/or coordination of local Supervisors and Area Managers. The trainer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all customers’ OQ programs. Professional communication with management and customers is essential. Office hours and schedule may vary. Starting wages range from $63,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

Ability to pass random drug screens.
At least 1 year of experience in the utility industry.
At least 1 year of underground locating experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Office Suite / Word and Excel experience is a plus.
Previous training experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Increase the quality of work performed in Ohio.
Train new Field Technicians using the Star training program.
Ensure compliance with all customers’ OQ programs.
Perform utility auditing when training is not in session.
Integrate retraining needs into the training program.
Conduct ride-alongs to qualify technicians.
Perform administrative work.
Travel to various locations within the state for extended periods, up to two weeks, to conduct training sessions.
