About The Position

The Quality Inspector Associate performs inspection activities to support product quality, manufacturing operations, and customer requirements. This role is responsible for verifying product conformance to specifications, identifying and documenting nonconforming materials, and supporting continuous improvement and quality processes.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
  • Proficiency in precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Basic math skills, including measurement and tolerance calculations (metric system)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machined components
  • Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and following safety protocol
  • Precision measuring instruments: 1 year (Required)
  • Blueprint reading: 1 year (Required)
  • Warehouse: 1 year (Required)
  • Metal fabrication: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and components
  • Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using standard measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges)
  • Perform mechanical metrology using precision gauges to verify dimensional and geometric tolerances
  • Inspect ball screws and guideways, including measurements such as lead accuracy, pitch deviation, straightness, runout, and geometric features
  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements (e.g., straightness, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, runout)
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation and traceability
  • Identify and quarantine nonconforming materials; complete nonconformance reports (NCRs)
  • Investigate returned materials (RMA) and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Follow and comply with all safety programs, company policies, ISO standards, and quality requirements
  • Maintain attendance, productivity, and adherence to established company expectations and procedures
  • Communicate workflow delays, operational or equipment issues, and work order concerns to leadership in a timely manner
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team and organizational objectives, consistent with the scope of this role
