About The Position

SubCom is seeking a Quality Auditor to join their team. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on internal and supplier audits, as well as facilitating corrective actions and continuous improvements to maintain compliance and enhance the overall quality of SubCom’s products/services. SubCom is a leader in engineering, manufacturing, and installing subsea fiber optic cables, playing a critical role in global data communications. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience developing, implementing, and auditing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems.
  • Experience performing and documenting supplier and internal process audits is essential.
  • Background in developing, implementing, and auditing ISO-9001:2015 Quality Systems.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management, including the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.
  • Candidates for positions with SubCom must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • Certified Lead Auditor to ISO-9001:2015 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop audit plans, schedules, and checklists to evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Perform internal audits, supplier audits, and participate in third-party audits to assess adherence to SubCom business and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Evaluate processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Examine quality documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records, to ensure accuracy and compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Identify and document non-conformances and areas of improvement.
  • Clearly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve the QMS.
  • Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness through follow-up audits.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Present findings to management and relevant teams.
  • Conduct training sessions on ISO 9001 standards and quality best practices for employees as needed.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the QMS, suggesting enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Stay current with ISO 9001 standards and relevant industry regulations.
  • Ensure that the organization remains compliant and leads efforts to continually improve SubCom Quality Systems.
