About The Position

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This includes the responsibilities and duties of the job and should cover all performance areas. Guidelines: Must follow and enforce Silgan Safety, Quality and GMP policies. Complete visual inspections and applicable downstream challenges on all production and decoration lines. Measure color on applicable lines. Review and verify technician paperwork. File all line clearance forms. Audit and place product on hold that does not meet quality requirements. Use of appropriate gages as outlined per quality control plan (AVBIS, Spectrometer, optical comparator ElektroPhysik mini test) to compete start-up analysis. Read and understand inspection sheets. Analysis of data and accurate data entry in SPC system. Communicate quality concerns to management and supervisors. Special requirement audits based on 5-digit bottle code. Inspect and measure start-ups. Label inspections. Gather PDS samples and prepare paperwork Additional testing required by customers as needed AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable): N/A EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: SPC knowledge EXPERIENCE: Required: N/A Preferred: High-volume output environment, shop floor experience, bottle experience SKILLS: Required: Excel, math skills Preferred: SPC knowledge, electronic measuring devices Possible day or night shift position. Day shift hours 8:00am-8:00pm, Night shift hours 8:00pm-8:00am. Days vary weekly.
