About The Position

The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance & Training Specialist. This is a state position governed by the Civil Service Rules, in state government located in Oklahoma City, OK. OMMA offers a comprehensive benefits packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000 based on education and experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two (2) years of experience in quality management.
  • The required two (2) years of experience must have been gained in a position where quality management was a primary or core function of the job, rather than a secondary responsibility performed in conjunction with other primary job duties.
  • Knowledge of problem solving; situation analysis; agency short- and long-term goals; quality management standards; quality tools and processes; strategies, such as total quality management (TQM); applying quality management techniques to agency systems of delivery; and customer service.
  • Skill in analytical reasoning; critical thinking; and communication, both oral and written; conducting an internal audit; organization and planning; and collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a team environment; meet deadlines; establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners; communicate technical language to a variety of audiences with varying degrees of quality management knowledge in an understandable manner, both in oral and written form; maintain and gain new knowledge of quality management techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Works with department leadership to identify and assess training needs, develops instructional training programs and curriculum, creates assessment and evaluation tools, and develops materials, job aids, Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and other resources for Patient License Processors.
  • Develops and delivers training for new Patient License Processors and provides refresher and remedial training as needed.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the department’s quality assurance program.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews of patient license applications to assess accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with applicable state laws, administrative rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Identifies, documents, and evaluates deficiencies and trends identified through quality assurance reviews and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
  • Develops and delivers training to address deficiencies or recurring issues identified through quality assurance reviews.
  • Develops and maintains accurate and organized records of quality assurance reviews, findings, corrective actions, and related documentation in accordance with agency requirements.
  • Investigates quality issues and recommends changes to internal processes, procedures, training, or systems to prevent recurrence and improve overall program quality.
  • Analyzes quality assurance findings and communicates program performance, trends, risks, and compliance concerns to department leadership.
  • Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality when reviewing applications, handling sensitive information, and reporting quality assurance findings.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings to discuss quality assurance findings and make recommendations to improvements to training, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
