About The Position

This role is responsible for conducting audits, performing various functions related to training and process improvement, supporting business and system changes, and participating in operational improvement activities. The Quality Assurance Trainer II will also be responsible for developing training materials, conducting training sessions, and ensuring the effectiveness of training through post-training audits. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with management and subject matter experts to resolve production issues and support project rollouts.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, health industry coding systems (procedure and diagnosis codes, etc.), CMS1500 or UB04 claim forms.
  • Ability to develop reference and training documentation.
  • Ability to coach/train staff and track and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
  • Keyboard and typing skills with a low error rate.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts monthly audits to monitor controls and performance in operational areas.
  • Documents and reviews audit findings with operational staff and management.
  • Tracks audit results and identifies error trends to pinpoint training needs and process improvements.
  • Identifies specific cases/scenarios for information sharing and leads discussions in unit meetings.
  • Conducts audits for new hires and staff learning new functions or processing procedures.
  • Develops reference and training documentation and conducts training for operational staff.
  • Tracks and performs post-training audits to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Responds to simple audit findings or inquiries from internal departments.
  • Reviews findings, conducts root cause analysis, and executes follow-up actions with management.
  • Triage simple questions and issues raised by operational staff.
  • Performs root cause analysis of processing issues and collaborates with management and SMEs to resolve production issues.
  • Reviews and contributes to business requirements or system changes.
  • Represents the operational area in meetings to discuss requirements.
  • Participates in project testing activities, including developing test cases, submitting test claims, and validating results.
  • Supports project rollout to operational areas.
  • Reviews documents and attends meetings related to business requirements or system changes.
  • Regularly participates in process and operational improvement activities.
  • Completes or participates in corporate training, compliance certification, or initiatives as directed by management.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
