About The Position

We have an exciting opening for a Engineer Quality Assurance II located at our Augusta location. This role monitors and maintains quality systems, testing and inspection activities designed to assure that products, processes and services confirm and comply to corporate, state, federal and regulatory requirements, standards and practices. The position coordinates, facilitates, conducts and documents problem solving efforts to correct or improve internal products, processes and services. It also performs internal auditing of procedures, creates, modifies and implements standard work and inspection methods, and makes recommendations for new equipment to assure that new product characteristics are properly measured and assessed. The role maintains the gage calibration system to support measurement needs in production and QA, and assists in the development and implementation of internal and external corrective actions designed to improve, correct or maintain products, processes and service standards, specifications and requirements. The Engineer Quality Assurance II applies Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis, control plans and Measurement System Analysis to evaluate the producibility of new products and stability of production processes. This role utilizes statistical data to identify and resolve problems and leads problem solving teams that focus on problem prevention and variance reduction. It maintains and reviews quality system records, documents and data, and makes recommendations for improvements and changes to product, processes or systems based on review of this information. The position also assists and provides technical expertise for qualifying, developing, certifying and assisting both internal and external suppliers and vendors. May provide work direction for Inspectors, Technicians and employees assigned to the Quality function, and provide instruction and training and supervision to members of the Quality team.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years Relevant Experience
  • ASQ Certification
