About The Position

Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to join our team supporting the sustainment and modernization of the United States Air Force and Space Forces human resources portfolio. This is a pivotal role where you will contribute to the modernization, sustainment, and development of mission-critical Air Force Human Resource systems. Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on quality assurance testing experience.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., ALM Octane, Selenium, LoadRunner, Postman).
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in software quality assurance.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • MUST be able to pass a US Government background investigation

Nice To Haves

  • US Government Clearance (Secret or above)
  • Experience with Air Force Human Resource IT systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and Air Force Cloud One environments.
  • Background in application modernization or cloud migration.
  • Expertise in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and maintenance of complex test processes, ensuring system functionality and reliability align with client specifications.
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to validate software components, modules, and subsystems.
  • Analyze test results to identify defects and propose solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QA testers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct system performance testing using tools such as Selenium, ALM Octane, and LoadRunner.
  • Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines and ensure adherence to DevSecOps principles.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and ensure alignment with Agile methodologies.
  • Document test results, create reports, and deliver updates to clients and team leadership.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools, technologies, and trends to recommend improvements.
