About The Position

The Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for ensuring that finished products and assemblies meet expected company quality standards. This role involves conducting electrical and mechanical testing, troubleshooting control systems, maintaining electrical power systems, and collaborating with engineering on testing procedures and compliance. The position requires a strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor controls, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor controls.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment with prolonged mental concentration and acute attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
  • Experience with electrical circuits: continuity, motor loading, and using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, process meters, and current probes to ensure compatibility and communication of system components.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC's / programs is a plus.
  • Associate or, 2+ years of experience in electrical control testing or industrial automation Electronics Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand technical data, work instructions, BOMs, and engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).
  • Verify wiring, signal integrity, and control logic using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in control systems including sensors, relays, contactors, and communication interfaces.
  • Maintain electrical power systems in an industrial setting with ranging from 12-240v DC and 120-480 AC.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) using local interface and communication software.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical testing procedures to ensure finished products and assemblies meet expected company quality standards.
  • Inspect repaired and overhauled equipment and components using approved quality standards and data.
  • Assist in audits, special projects, and R&D interfacing with engineering to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, specifications, and the creation of testing procedures.
  • Monitor the use of equipment and calibration requirements to ensure safe, accurate operation.
  • Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Train the quality and manufacturing teams on quality control measures.
  • Use test instrumentation and control components such as HMIs, thermocouples, RTDs, variable frequency drivers, load cells, and relaying.
