About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for ensuring food safety and quality throughout the production process. This role involves monitoring in-process product, conducting environmental evaluations, and making real-time determinations regarding food safety and quality. The technician will also perform pre-operational inspections, manage lock-out/tag-out procedures, and communicate effectively with sanitation, maintenance, and production teams. A strong understanding of production flow, including codes, size limits, and label attributes, is essential. The technician must be able to identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations, such as product tampering or equipment malfunctions, to their supervisor. Adherence to packaging and labeling specifications is also a key responsibility. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate control of assigned department; monitor of in process product, environmental evaluations, and real-time determination for food safety and quality.
  • Effectively conduct a pre-operational inspection; lock out/tag out with verification, equipment disposition, and efficiently communicate with support teams (Sanitation, Maintenance, and Production).
  • Effectively navigate the usage of quality tools and equipment; scales, calipers thermometers, Sightline, and Infinity.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of production flow; production codes, size limits, and label attributes.
  • Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official such as product tampering, unauthorized employees in restricted area, and equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake.
  • Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
