Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point is desired
  • Ability to navigate technical applications on electronic devices
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize measuring tool devices (examples: tape measure, calipers, protractors, and feeler gauges)
  • Ability to navigate numeric drawings and print diagrams
  • Good listening skills
  • Above average reading comprehension
  • Ability to analyze and present findings in a clear, concise, and logical manner through above average writing and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment
  • Proven teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift or carry a minimum of 20 lbs

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations as necessary

  • Ability to read and interpret quality standards, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and conversions.
  • Ability to document inspection results accurately using written forms and computerized systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple production lines or areas
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to producing high-quality product
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or quality systems is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Complete tasks as assigned by the Quality Department Leadership
  • Understand and follow all applicable PPE requirements
  • Identify and provide training and support to team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Perform and document in-process glass and window manufacturing inspections
  • Verification of completed product compliance to applicable quality standards
  • Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, and additional quality support members to correct non-compliance findings and trends
  • Aid in addressing recurring issues by conducting appropriate root cause analysis to drive corrective measures
  • Identifying, dispositioning, and communication of non-conforming products
  • Create and distribute non-conformance reports for both in-process and outsourced materials
