About The Position

The Quality Assurance Lead will assist in the supervision of all quality assurance functions, implementation, development, audit, and maintenance of the plant’s quality and food safety systems, including HACCP, to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. This role involves monitoring quality assurance personnel, providing training, and maintaining technical expertise. The Lead will also provide technical support and resources for quality assurance personnel, production, and other plant departments.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with state-specific food safety laws and the biology of micro-organisms.

Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of all applicable elements of the POM Wonderful Quality and Food Safety systems to assure compliance.
  • Leading/assisting in special projects and analyses during the season focusing on the Arils process.
  • Participating in PC checks and implementation for FSMA.
  • Understanding and supporting the sustainment and development of POM Wonderful’s HACCP Food Safety Program.
  • Monitoring CCPs.
  • Overlooking testing of water, in-process arils, air monitoring, finished product micro testing, environmental swabbing, and preparing/submitting samples to third-party testing.
  • Providing technical assistance to Quality Assurance operations, calibrations of equipment, ordering supplies, and aiding in achieving product quality.
  • Assisting in maintaining processing records that will allow for product, packaging, and ingredient holds and review of documents for product release.
  • Reviewing manufacturing process records to assure that customer and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Reviewing, creating, and maintaining daily production files which include all production processing and quality paperwork.
