About The Position
Barilla is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their food manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of lab experience who is looking to grow in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The technician will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and ensuring products meet the highest standards from production to plate, making a real impact every day.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of lab or quality experience (food manufacturing a plus, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on mindset
- Basic math skills and comfort working with data
- Ability to stay organized, multitask, and work independently
- Solid computer skills (Word & Excel)
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, audits, and in-process checks to ensure food safety and compliance
- Collect samples and run lab tests (cook quality, dimensions, coding, and more)
- Monitor sanitation, GMPs, and foreign material controls
- Review records and release (or hold) product based on results
- Investigate issues, support corrective actions, and help prevent defects
- Collaborate across teams to keep quality top of mind at every step
