About The Position

SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Sterling, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC. This position is 100% on-site in Sterling, VA. They will be responsible for inspecting materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. They will identify defects, document findings, and collaborate with production teams to maintain high-quality outputs. They will have to adjust to shifting priorities as demand shifts between production, maintenance and repair. They will offer internal support, utilizing their expertise in cutting-edge software, hardware, network infrastructure, and/or information technology to troubleshoot intricate user/system issues. Maintaining up-to-date technical proficiency in their field, they will meticulously document problems and their resolutions. They will analyze and report findings in support of data analysis to identify problems, improvements, and trends. Collaboration with development teams will be essential in determining effective problem-solving and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Adjust to shifting priorities as demand shifts between production, maintenance and repair.
  • Offer internal support, utilizing expertise in cutting-edge software, hardware, network infrastructure, and/or information technology to troubleshoot intricate user/system issues.

  • Meticulously document problems and their resolutions.
  • Analyze and report findings in support of data analysis to identify problems, improvements, and trends.
  • Collaborate with development teams to determine effective problem-solving and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products following a detailed test procedure and testing equipment.
  • Identifies production bottlenecks or recurring defects and recommends corrective actions, often leading to measurable reductions in waste or customer returns.
  • Document inspection outcomes, test results, and any defects by completing detailed reports, logs, and entering data into quality management systems.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards (GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs).
  • Identify root causes of defects and collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff regarding quality standards and procedures.
  • Investigate product non-conformities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
