About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician/Food Safety Inspector will oversee the Quality Assurance aspects of the Company's operations. This includes sanitation and general plant inspection, completion of QA and Food Safety documentation, and inputting data into an online Food Safety Management System. The role also involves preparing for inspections and audits, and monitoring policies, programs, and procedures to ensure food safety and product quality throughout the entire operational process. This position requires compliance with all regulatory quality and customer-related requirements affiliated with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The ability to work in a cold environment (< 40 F) within a temperature-controlled warehouse is necessary.

Requirements

  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, stopping
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in food production

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Knowledge of Seafood product is preferred
