About The Position

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the 1st Shift. This role is crucial for monitoring and facilitating quality inspection activities for in-process parts, sub-assemblies, and Final Assembly Unit completion. The technician will utilize quality tools and practices to ensure that internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies meet quality requirements. This position involves investigating quality-related issues, managing documentation such as inspection records and drawings, and performing data entry. The company is a premier HVAC provider focused on energy-efficient and sustainable products, aiming to create a better tomorrow by cooling the world's expanding data centers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Four plus years manufacturing industry experience, and at least 2 years in Quality capacity required.
General Computer Skills (Name and Save Files, upload pictures, share files, locate, and retrieve documents).
Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook).
Dependable.

Completion of some secondary/trade school technical and/or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify in-process parts/sub-assemblies/Final Assembly Unit(s) match drawings/specification packet(s).
Review in-process inspection documents for correctness and completeness.
Generate NCM (Non-Conforming Material) reports as needed.
Identify product status as needed to prevent use/shipment of Non-Conforming product.
Capture pictures where required, upload, name and maintain process.
Distribute paperwork/documents where needed.
Scan inspection forms into designated files.
Input inspection results into data base as needed.
Must be able to wear protective gear and equipment.

Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.
