About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality processing and protective films, technical tapes, and specialty papers that meet customer expectations and industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Strong ability to read, understand, and follow production specifications and work instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate data recording skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a collaborative team environment.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, especially during shift transitions and cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to maintain regular attendance and work flexible schedules, including 8–12 hour shifts and occasional weekends.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, walking, repetitive motions, and coordinated hand/eye/foot movements.
Commitment to workplace safety, productivity, cleanliness, and compliance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with coating paper and film products preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and quality tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with established specifications and quality standards.
Accurately interpret production specifications and work orders.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, tests, audits, and quality findings.
Prepare reports and communicate results, including recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Identify product defects, non-conformities, and process deviations.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Recommend and assist in implementing process enhancements and quality improvements.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, company procedures, and quality management systems, including ISO 9001 standards.
Promote and maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
Calibrate, maintain, and properly store testing equipment and quality tools to ensure reliable and accurate measurements.
Provide guidance and support to production staff regarding quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
Communicate effectively across departments and shifts to ensure seamless operations and information sharing.
Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
