Requirements

  • Diploma in Food Science or a related science field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience in the food industry
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Solid time‑management skills - you know how to keep your day on track
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends (harvest season = hustle season!)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft applications

Nice To Haves

  • HACCP training and familiarity with CFIA FSEP manual

Responsibilities

  • Performing on‑line quality checks to meet SQF, regulatory, and customer standards
  • Verifying finished goods coding at shift start and during changeovers
  • Evaluating product blends and verifying ingredients
  • Collecting retention samples and performing weight checks
  • Partnering closely with production and repack teams to keep operations flowing smoothly
  • Completing digital and paper production records
  • Conducting GMP and pre‑operational checks, including environmental swabbing
  • Performing risk assessments and responding quickly to quality concerns
  • Following up on non‑conformances and corrective actions
  • Supporting customer complaint investigations
  • Assisting with new product launches
  • Managing IQF ingredient quality analysis and allocation
  • Coordinating sampling with suppliers, logistics, and QA samplers
  • Running physical product tests (pH, Brix, etc.) and recording results
  • Tracking defects and verifying case dumping records
  • Performing GMP inspections and addressing any food safety issues
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs as needed
  • And other duties that keep our QA world running smoothly!
