About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician at Wolverine Packing upholds quality standards by performing high-level quality control inspections and verifying processes. The role requires working 100% on the plant floor in a fast-paced environment and monitoring and implementing HACCP system activities within the Quality Assurance Department. The position pays $21.00–$22.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be available to work or lead pre-operational sanitation, with a 4:30 a.m. start time.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Be detailed and organized.
• Strong attention to detail, including data and sample collection and accurate paperwork.
• Good decision-making and reasoning skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to monitor all areas of the facility, including pens and the processing floor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues.
• Document corrective actions, root causes, and preventive actions.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed.
• Ensure package and label integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain product specifications.
• Monitor and implement HACCP system activities in the Quality Assurance Department.
• Work throughout the plant floor, including monitoring facility areas such as pens and the processing floor.
