We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Quality Assurance Technician to help keep quality on track in our assembly production area. This is a shop floor position, not an office job. You will inspect parts and finished assemblies, catch problems before product moves forward, make sure work meets customer and company standards, and work side-by-side with the production team. This role also requires helping support the assembly floor as needed, including inspecting, packaging, line support, and other tasks needed to keep work moving.

Requirements

  • Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to follow instructions and complete paperwork.
  • Basic math skills, including measuring, counting, and simple calculations.
  • Able to safely use basic hand tools and small power tools.
  • Able to use measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, gauges, and other basic inspection equipment.
  • Willing to help where needed and support production floor work as needed.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperatures ranging from 45°F to 110°F.
  • Able to work around common shop materials, moving parts, and production activity while following safety rules.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with others on the floor.
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs., do repetitive work, and stay on your feet for long periods.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Must adhere to assigned schedules, breaks, and production demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Assembly, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality inspection, assembly, or a production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, components, and finished assemblies throughout production to identify non-conformances against customer specifications and internal quality standards.
  • Perform required quality checks, including visual inspection, dimensional checks, fit checks, and other evaluations needed to verify product acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and timely quality records, inspection sheets, and related documentation.
  • Verify that assembly workstations, tools, fixtures, and materials are set up correctly to help ensure consistent product quality.
  • Monitor assembly operations and promptly report quality or process issues to the supervisor or appropriate team lead.
  • Verify correct components, part orientation, hardware, labels, and assembly sequence before final approval or release.
  • Assist with line changeovers, workstation readiness, and setup verification to support smooth production flow.
  • Follow all company safety rules, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area, including assembly stations, inspection areas, and shared equipment.
  • Support material movement, staging, and handling activities as needed while following safety requirements.
  • Support assembly floor operations as needed, including packaging, inspection support, rework verification, and other assigned tasks based on production priorities.
  • Verify finished assemblies for completeness, workmanship, correct parts, labeling, and overall appearance before packaging or release.
  • Work closely with assemblers, leads, and supervisors to help maintain quality, flow, and output goals across the production floor.
