About The Position

The Seasonal Quality Assurance Tech monitors product temperatures, cold-storage conditions, and handling practices throughout the facility to ensure compliance with established food safety and quality standards. The role performs temperature monitoring and documentation, inspects product handling, checks product labels and codes, and addresses or reports deficiencies. The position is on-site at 1340 South 153rd Street, Papillion, Nebraska.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail to identify discrepancies, deficiencies, and potential product quality concerns.
• Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in challenging situations.
• Understanding of proper product handling, cold-storage requirements, and food safety practices.
• Ability to monitor and record product and facility temperatures and perform thermometer calibrations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily calibrations of testing thermometers and document results on calibration forms.
• Monitor and record temperatures in designated cold-storage areas, including product freezers, coolers, and ride-along freezers, to ensure compliance with established requirements.
• Monitor and record product temperatures outside designated cold-storage environments.
• Inspect product and cooler handling practices throughout shipping, mezzanine, and packing areas; document deficiencies and corrective actions, and communicate issues to CF Management.
• Monitor the jackpot lane for tote accumulation and take appropriate action to address potential issues.
• Monitor the Tote Monitor system to ensure totes do not exceed established time limits outside designated cold-storage areas, and take corrective action as needed.
• Verify that “ice on bottom” packing lanes maintain required zone compliance and address deficiencies.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on product labels, date codes, and ingredient label legibility, addressing and reporting discrepancies as appropriate.
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality in accordance with company expectations.
