About The Position

The Quality Assurance Tech will assist in training our staff on the best practices for handling, inspecting, and maintaining the quality of produce. This role is essential in ensuring that our produce meets the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. This description incorporates the most typical duties performed. It is recognized that other duties not specifically mentioned may also be performed. The inclusion of these duties would not alter the overall evaluation of the position. If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have Food Handlers Card.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a soft criminal/background check.
• Working knowledge of applying health and safety standards for safe growing, harvesting, packing, and storage of all vegetables and fruits for human consumption.
• Strong interest in quality control and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• additional education in quality management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in quality control, training, or a related field is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing training programs for new hires and current employees on QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Maintain detailed records of training sessions, employee progress, and areas needing additional focus.
• Stay informed about new developments in quality assurance, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• Conduct inspections of incoming harvest, collect data, and prepare reports
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
