About The Position

The FSQA Tech is responsible for performing routine in-process quality checks, GMP verification, documentation activities, and food safety program tasks to ensure products meet internal standards and SQF/FSMA requirements. This role supports production by completing scheduled checks, maintaining accurate records, managing samples/retains, supporting environmental monitoring, and communicating deviations in real time.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined frequencies (30-min / hourly / daily / weekly)
  • Accurate documentation practices (paper and digital)
  • Ability to escalate issues quickly and communicate clearly with Production and QA leadership
  • Comfortable working in production and handling routine sampling/inspection responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform 30-minute cup weight checks
  • Perform 30-minute dirty cup checks
  • Perform 30-minute vat checks
  • Perform hourly X-ray checks
  • Perform hourly vat temperature checks
  • Review sealers and bulk weight scales to verify proper function/accuracy during operations
  • Communicate deviations and quality concerns to Production/QA leadership as they occur
  • Complete deviation documentation including: Deviation logs for cup weight checks, Vat level checks, Dirty cup checks
  • Perform inbound sample extraction
  • Complete the inbound iAuditor inspection sheet
  • Manage and control milk tote retains (handling, retention, and organization)
  • Download and upload completed iAuditor inspections to SharePoint
  • File and maintain controlled QA documentation as required
  • Perform GMP checks twice per day per shift
  • Conduct pest control inspections
  • Conduct random checks of lockers and breakrooms per the pest control program
  • Collect samples for Listeria testing per the environmental monitoring / sampling program
  • Perform Flavor Switch Pre-Op inspections to verify proper conditions before production starts (as applicable)
  • Complete chemical room logging
  • Monitor and document chemical usage per site program requirements
  • Perform weekly glass & brittle plastic inventory checks
  • File and organize calibration documents
  • Perform weekly inventory of QA supplies
  • Organize training documents
  • Verify training paperwork is complete and confirm signatures are present/valid
  • Clean and organize the QA lab to maintain sanitary, audit-ready conditions
