About The Position

Responsible to identify and react to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP concerns. Measurement, observation and inspection of process and product to ensure products meet quality requirements according to specification. This would include startups, changeovers, line clearance, PM’s and in-processing during the shift. Follow GMP requirements and ensure that GMP type issues do not affect the integrity of the product produced. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Able to read and interpret prints for measurements and specifications. Communication with supervisor, shift personnel and management staff. Create and maintain documentation as required by procedures and work instructions, ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and filed. Visually Inspect/audit product to determine that visual defect requirements are met. Understanding of the Visual Quality Standards for all products being manufactured. Understand sample size and frequency for testing. Full Shots, Full Rounds, and subgroups. Perform quality duties per the work instructions during the shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mathematical ability
  • Communication skills
  • Writing legibly
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MS office preferred

  • Use gages per PMP’s to measure product and enter the dimensional data into the computer software.
  • Check to ensure product not meeting specification is not due to gage or operator error.
  • Place product on hold per nonconforming material procedure if issues are not due to gage or operator error.
