The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible to support and maintain the company Quality Systems programs, support and enforce the SQF, QA, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures including production needs, support and assist in maintaining the HACCP program and its pre-requisite programs, support and maintain the Food Safety/Food Security/Biosecurity programs, and aid in customer complaint investigations and response. This role involves overseeing the butter and powder hold and release program, ensuring timely product releases, and taking over these duties in the absence of the Product Control Specialist. The supervisor will also assist the Quality Assurance Manager with reviewing microbiology test results, investigating high counts, physically inspecting potential contamination points, reviewing plant documents and inspections, inspecting dryers, and assisting with pre-inspections for audits and new equipment start-ups. Additionally, the role includes maintaining audit-related forms, overseeing daily equipment calibrations, understanding SOPs, ensuring thermometer calibrations, aiding in master sanitation programs, reviewing CIP records, generating Preventative Measures, assisting with the Appendix N program, inspecting codes and package appearance, and performing all Quality Assurance Manager tasks during vacations or leaves. The position requires excellent attendance, adherence to safety and working rules, the ability to work harmoniously with others, maintaining a positive attitude, using initiative and judgment, and assisting in other plant areas as necessary. The role also supports and enforces SQF/QA, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures, and food safety and quality are key responsibilities. The supervisor is also responsible for leading, guiding, and supporting their team.
