About The Position

This role plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component. The specialist will perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. They will apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current processes and process changes. Additionally, the role involves reviewing all purchased products or components and providing input for acceptance decisions and future vendor purchases. The specialist will document data from quality assurance activities, develop new approaches to solve identified problems, and communicate significant issues and recommended process improvements to management. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, presenting technical information, and directing technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. Compliance with IATF16949 and ISO 14001 is required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two plus years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word or similar Word Processing software.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar Spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of Manufacturing software.

Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.

Must perform job duties in compliance with the IATF16949 and ISO 14001.
